Amalfi- set between the mountains and the sea, the larges town on the coast was formerly one of the Mediterranean's sea powers. It was the capital of The Maritime Republic of Amalfi, and was a very important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200.The famous duomo dominates the main square with large flights of stairs where you will find many foreigners that are getting married. Along this pedestrian street are various bars and cafés, not to mention the many shops selling limoncello, clothing, swim wear, gifts, groceries and ceramics.
Ravello- is famous for its breath-taking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments as well as their Ravello Music Festival. Ravello is located on the small escarpment of Monte Lattari and is set amidst vast semi-tropical gardens and overlooks, from 350 metres, the coast south towards the Gulf of Salerno, and the towns of Minori and Amalfi below.
